QuickBooks Desktop 2019 was recently released and has many new updates and improved feature usage compared to prior year's desktop versions. There are updates across all versions of QuickBooks Desktop - Pro, Premier, Accountant, and Enterprise.
New features include:
Customer invoice history tracker
With real-time customer invoice history information available, users can take timely actions to improve communications with clients about their open receivables
Transfer credits between jobs of the same customer
Efficiently apply customer credits across all jobs of the same selected customer
Employee pay adjustment history
Track changes to employee pay rates (only hourly, salary, bonus and commission items)
Improved features include:
User prompt to create a bill payment when using write checks to a vendor with open bills
New and improved prompt helps users avoid using the Write Check transaction type when the proper transaction type should be a vendor Bill Payment.
Inactive inventory items included in inventory report totals
Users can choose to include inactive inventory items in the Inventory Valuation Summary or Detail report
Sick and vacation pay tracking
New company preference for setting the Maximum type for Sick and Vacation time. Settings include either Maximum hours at a time, or Maximum hours for the year.
Provides the Admin for the file with a more definitive view of any permission levels that when assigned to a user, would include access to sensitive payroll transactions.
Condense data file optimization
Reliably reduce a QuickBooks company file size without deleting data
