QuickBooks Corner: QuickBooks Online July 2017 Updates

One of the biggest advantages to using QuickBooks Online is that it automatically updates itself every time you log into your file. This means that any change to the platform is immediately integrated into your file. You don't have to take an extra step to update as you did in the desktop version.

There were two changes integrated into the QuickBooks Online software starting in July 2017 that will have a definite impact on your use and efficiency in QuickBooks Online:

Manage projects directly within QuickBooks Online - Similar to job costing in QuickBooks Desktop, Projects allow you to keep track of all expenses, including time spent, related to one specific job/project tracked so you can easily determine your profitability on that project. Projects is available for QuickBooks Online Plus users.

New partial purchase orders capability in QuickBooks Online - You can now link a bill, check, or expense to a portion of a purchase order instead of the entire purchase order, making it easier to keep track of transactions and see up-to-date expenses and inventory. This new feature makes it easier to track how much of a purchase order is still outstanding.

Intuit is constantly adding new features to improve the efficiency and capabilities of QuickBooks Online, so make sure to keep checking in to see what new changes are being implemented.
