His expertise is anchored in a deep understanding of complex tax legislation and the evolving regulatory landscape. Mark is a prolific speaker and writer, frequently hosting webinars and delivering presentations on tax legislation and related topics.
Before joining Porte Brown, Mark honed his skills at two national accounting firms, where he focused on advising middle-market clients. He is passionate about helping clients navigate the intricacies of the tax code and serving as a strategic business advisor to support their success.

- Was bitten by a shark. Yes, you read that right! Mark has an incredible story of survival after a close encounter with a shark. It’s an experience that hasn’t dampened his love for the ocean but has definitely made for some unforgettable tales at the beach.
- Loves spending time at the beach and soaking up the sun. When he’s not immersed in the latest tax updates, you can often find Mark relaxing by the water, enjoying the simple pleasures of sun, sand, and surf. The beach is where he recharges and finds inspiration for new ideas.
- Worked at Burger King in high school and was also an Andy Frain usher. Long before tax codes and mergers, Mark learned the value of hard work and customer service from his time flipping burgers and ushering at events. These early jobs taught him the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and adaptability—skills that have stayed with him throughout his professional journey.
